World of warcraft:Icecrown Citadel Nerfs

Some minor nerfs to the difficulty of select Icecrown Citadel encounters were announced by Blizzard on March 8th,The following is quote from the Wow official site:

Listed below are recent fixes we have applied to the game. Keep in mind that some of these changes may not be active until after the realm has been restarted.

In the Lord Marrowgar encounters, the boss will no longer reset threat after a bone storm and will now wait a small amount of time before attacking at the end of a bone storm .

In the Deathbringer Saurfang encounters, the boss is now less likely to cast Blood Nova on targets affected by Mark of the Fallen Champion.

In both normal and heroic versions of the 10 player Rotface encounter, the mutated infection ability will not be cast as quickly while the fight progresses.

In the 10- and 25-player heroic Festergut encounters, the malleable goo ability should no longer target pets.

In the Valithria Dreamwalker encounters, the duration of Emerald Vigor and Twisted Nightmares were slightly increased.

In the Sindragosa encounters, the duration of the instability debuff was slightly reduced.

None of the nerfs is groundbreaking or will substantially change the fights. They are more in the nature of quality of life adjustments. Most of the nerfs, like the ones to Deathbringer Saurfang and Festergut, are designed to limit the impact of RNG on players' success.

The nerf to Rotface may be the only one that is 'unnecessary' depending on your perspective. Managing mutated infections, and the resulting oozes is the main gimmick of the fight. This will make it much easier for players to deal with the oozes and may trivialize the encounter depending on exactly how much they adjusted the time between infections.

The changes to Valithria Dreamwalker and Sindragosa will give healers a sigh of relief, as they will no longer have to have luck in addition to good hand-eye and fast reflexes to keep their healing buff stacks up on the Dreamwalker encounter, or wait 8 seconds when afflicted with Instability before their next cast!
